Meet the Team

Evelyn Hurley

Picture of Evelyn Hurley

The stage has always been where Evelyn found herself. As a young child, she was regularly performing in front of a crowd – whether she was on a physical stage, in her front yard, or in the middle of her grandparents’ living room – entertaining others has always come natural to her. Her childhood was filled with all types of performance, and in high school Evelyn was the mascot of her large 5A high school.  In college, Evelyn majored and earned a degree in Theatre with a focus on Performance and Production. For over a decade, Evelyn acted professionally in film, television, and commercials. In 2022, Evelyn moved with her husband to Canon City, where they quickly got involved in the local theater scene. Marcy was in their first production with both Evelyn and Kevin in March 2023, and the trio have been working together since! Now we join forces to work on something bigger; a new way to participate in live performance. Evelyn is passionate about theater being a place of creativity, inclusivity, and fun for everyone!  The world's a stage, and the world is full of performers!

Kevin Tusa, Jr.

Kevin Tusa was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He overcame being a shy and quiet child to find his passion of making people laugh.  While he is new to community theater, he has never been afraid to bring a smile to the face of strangers.  Since moving to Colorado with Evelyn, Kevin has enjoyed meeting local performers and watching them bring a wide range of stories to life.  His passion for people and for comedy drew him to become a founding member of The Fremont Players.  Being able to create a community of diverse, silly, and interesting people is a lifelong dream coming true.

Marcy Del Castillo

Marcy has been a part of the local community theater scene since 2004, working in various capacities such as actor, director, assistant director, producer, stage manager/crew, lighting/sound tech, make-up, costuming, playbill design, and much more - you name it, she's probably had a hand in it!  Her love of theater began in high school, but she was too shy to go all in, so after a very long break while raising a family, she dipped her feet in the theatrical waters once again, and has not looked back. Marcy's passion is children & youth theater and she hopes to open more doors for many of the local youth through this group and through the after-school drama clubs she will be facilitating in the area schools. Working closely with a fellow theater parent, she also hopes to bridge a gap by involving home-schooled children as well. Marcy shares Ev and Kev's desire to use this group to challenge performance paradigms and infuse more fun and creativity into our theatrical landscape.
